Low-budget airline Flyglobespan has announced that it will start operating weekly flights (between April and October) to the Turkish resort of Dalaman from Aberdeen in May 2009, which is good news for homeowners in the region.

Turkey is proving somewhat of a holiday hotspot for Brits at the moment. This is owed partly to the fact that it is situated outside of the eurozone, and consequently doesn’t trade in the euro currency, which has strengthened enormously against the UK pound this year.

Rick Green, CEO of Flyglobespan says: “We are delighted to be offering this new flight to the Turkish destination of Dalaman. Turkey, with its rich culture, great beach resorts and reputation as a value-for-money destination is bound to be a winner. Our customers told us this is what they wanted and so we are delighted to be able to offer it.”
