Oceânico Group’s Amendoeira Golf Resort has toasted the opening of two championship golf courses - one designed by Nick Faldo and one by Christy O’Connor Jnr – with a gala week of events attended by sports stars and property owners.
The opening of the Algarve courses and clubhouse took place in mid October, with celebrities including golf legend Christy O’Connor Snr., leading European Tour golfers Lee Westwood, Darren Clarke and Paul Broadhurst and ex-footballer John Aldridge celebrating the completion.
Set on 640-acres near Silves in the central Algarve, Amendoeira Golf Resort is destined to be one of the finest golf resorts in Europe, with the two golf courses set alongside a wealth of other sporting and leisure facilities including the Amendoeira Golf Resort Academy and Callaway Fitting Suite; six championship standard tennis courts; a full size football/rugby/Gaelic football pitch; two lawn bowling greens; swimming pools; children’s interactive arcade; a crèche; restaurants and bars.
A limited number of properties are still available at Amendoeira Golf Resort, with a two bedroom apartment starting from €495,000 or from €170,000 for quarter share through Stepping Stones – both include membership of Oceânico’s seven Algarve golf courses.
