British couple launch US holiday home competition

A British ex-pat couple have launched an online overseas holiday home competition to sell their $1.25m luxury Florida property.
Colin and Sue Stafford’s brand new, fully-furnished ‘perfect holiday home’ in Orlando is set within 5-acres of landscaped gardens and features a luxurious rock pool, five bedrooms, including two master suites, plus a study/6th bedroom and panoramic views.
The winner will be chauffeured from the airport as part of a compelling prize package which includes a new family car, family passes to Disneyworld and membership of a local health club and spa as well as 40 rounds of golf.
Basking in temperatures of more than 30 degrees for six months a year, the home, just ten minutes away from several world-famous theme parks, is surrounded by the state’s finest golf courses and within a short drive of Florida’s white sandy beaches.
More than one in 433 of the 45,000 entrants will receive cash prizes of up to £10,000 with the ultimate winner claiming the $1.25m property in the ‘Sunshine State’.
The couple, originally from Manchester, have turned to the online competition as a way of beating the US property downturn.
