12 May 2009 Property firm, Iberian International, are offering homes for sale in spain with the option of paying an initial deposit now and the rest of the balance in two years time. The company is trying to stimulate demand for property in Spain once more, following a difficult couple of years for the market, which has seen property prices plummet, and are even prepared to pay your mortgage for the first couple of years of occupation. Laura Nicoll, director of Iberian International, says: “Spain remains the number one choice for our clients as they appreciate they will have a better standard of living, substantially lower utility and council tax bills, easy access to the UK and fantastic all year round weather. The price of property in Spain is better than it has been in years and our deals will ensure people of a happy investment for years to come. We strongly recommend taking advantage of this limited offer as it won’t last long.” However, Iberian International’s latest marketing strategy, illustrates just how desperate some firms have become in light of the of the property market slump. It is estimated that there is currently an oversupply of around one million homes lying empty in Spain.
