Chesterton opens office in Italy

Chesterton has announced that it is further expanding its international office network with the opening of a fifth office abroad in Lake Como, Lombardy, Italy.
Chesterton Como will provide a personalised service to sellers for top-end properties in the area and specialise in property searches for buyers in Lake Como and further afield such as Lake Maggiore, Lake Orta, Lake Lugano and St Moritz in the Swiss Alps.
Cheryl Lorenzo-Penn, director of Chesterton Como, comments, “I am delighted to be working with Chesterton, which has a burgeoning network of international offices.
“We specialise in finding unique properties with a particular feature, be it part of a historic villa or a typical house with a unique lake view. We also market new developments with limited units of high quality only.

Italian property prices have not been hit as hard as in the rest of Europe, partly due to stricter Italian bank lending, loan-to-vale rarely exceed 80%.
