Could St Vincent be the next Caribbean hotspot?

The beautiful island of St Vincent could emerge as a lead contender for the next Caribbean property hotspot, on the back of growing tourism levels, says Chris Sawyer of GEM Estates.
The company is currently selling a selection of properties for sale in Buccament Bay, the island’s newest five-star development, which will be operated as a hotel. Property prices currently range from £115,000 to £495,000 and are subject to an optional 10% rental guarantee for the first two years from completion, followed by a share of the rental income with the resort and spa operator on a 50/50 basis thereafter.
Chris Sawyer, Caribbean expert for GEM Estates comments, “At this moment in time there are only a handful of hotels and therefore practically nowhere for tourists to stay. Consequently, the local authorities have welcomed the development of Buccament Bay with open arms. The resort will bring the Island’s first casino, the Island’s first conference centre and wedding-white sand will be shipped across from Guyana to disguise the natural black sand.
