Cushman and Wakefield offering properties in Brac

Cushman and Wakefield is now marketing properties for sale on the largest of Croatia’s central Dalmatian islands, Brac.
The company is offering 84 off-plan contemporary apartments at Kavanjin, a new development situated on the northwest side of the island, just five-minutes walk from the water’s edge, with views of Sutivan Bay and Split beyond.
Croatia is fast regaining its appeal as a popular holiday destination, and this in turn is driving demand for property for sale in Croatia. Tourism in Croatia is expected to grow from a US$7.9bn industry in 2003 to a US$20.2bn industry in 2013, according to the World Tourism Organisation.
Andrew Piper from Emerging Market Property says: “Croatia provides a Mediterranean lifestyle at a lower cost than similar, coastal locations. According to local agents, property prices on the Croatian coast have increased more than 10% a year for the past five years, with island properties showing particularly strong growth.
“The increase in tourism demand is good news for property owners and Kavanjin is linked with a UK travel operator to provide holiday rentals. A Split-based management company will ensure that properties are maintained when owners aren’t at their properties.”
Properties at Kavanjin, which is due for completion in September 2009, range from €157,500 (around £125,762) for a 73sqm one-bedroom apartment up to €369,000 (approx £295,000) for a 325 sq m three-bedroom apartment.
