Is Dubai property market bottoming out?

6 March 2009 Property agents say that there are signs that the Dubai property market may be close to the bottom of the economic cycle, according to a report in The National. They refer to an increase in property transactions in February as evidence that demand for property in Dubai is growing once more. Liz O'Connor, director of residential sales and leasing at Better Homes, said its transactions rose by 15% in February 2009 compared to January 2009. Iseeb Rehman, Managing director at Sherwoods, noted that transactions appear to be picking up in the Dubai Marina, where prices have fallen by around 50%.
