New development launched in Haute-Savoie region

New lakeside homes will be constructed along the east side of Lake Annecy at Veyrier du Lac in the Haute-Savoie region of France, it was announced yesterday. Les Jardins d’Eos will comprise a new low-rise development of four buildings developed by the French mountain and lakeside property specialist the MGM Group. Each building will contain seven apartments ranging in size from one to four bedrooms with two or three bathrooms and floor areas of 71 sq m to 116 sq m. Off-plan prices start at €476,000 for a two-bedroom apartment. “Veyrier du Lac is a village held in high regard by local people as well as the owners of its beautiful established homes,” says Nathalie Turchet, MGM’s London-based UK sales manager. This will be the largest new development of its type ever undertaken in Lake Annecy, Les Jardins d’Eos will occupy a substantial elevated greenfield site of 1.4 hectares. Construction work will get underway in the spring next year, with completion scheduled for 2010. Although Veyrier du Lac currently is a 50 minute drive from Geneva Airport, the journey time will be only 35 minutes when a new motorway link opens early next year.
