New flights boost for Malta property

7 April 2009 The opening of several new airline services to Malta this year will further boost the Malta property market, says local developer, Pender Ville. Malta, will become even more accessible with the start of easy Jet’s new twice weekly direct service from Newcastle, while rival, Ryanair, will offer two new weekly flights from Bristol and Edinburgh. Scandinavian Airlines has also announced a new direct service from Stockholm. Michael De Maria, marketing manager of Pender Ville’s Pendergardens development, said: “These new flights will help bring in property purchasers who may have not even considered Malta before. Having a local airport will make second home ownership particularly attractive, making even weekend stays feasible. The increase in visitors will also greatly benefit the rental market.” Pender Ville is developing Pendergardens, a strikingly designed scheme of 360 apartments in St Julian’s, Malta. St Julian’s is a popular and attractive resort town located on Malta’s north coast, a few miles from the capital, Valletta, a UNESCO world heritage site. Prices at Pendergardens start at £181,000.
