Savvy Scots could enter Polish property sector
Country: Poland
10 March 2009 Scottish-based property construction firm Macdonald Estates is currently negotiating a £100m funding package with a major financial institution in the UK with a view to potentially entering Poland’s property market, according to a report in Property Week. The astute property developer, which sold its entire property portfolio at the peak of the property boom in 2007, reportedly now plans to reinvest its profits in land acquisitions for a series of mixed-use property projects. One of the most attractive aspects to buying a property in Poland is the cheap entry costs associated with the sector.
