The Wave hand over 100th home
27 May 2009 The Wave, Muscat, has handed over the keys of its 100th home to the Kalwani family in a ceremony presided over by the Indian Ambassador Anil Wadhwa, according to Trade Arabia. “The Wave, Muscat is the first major integrated resort and residential development undertaken in Muscat and the first project launched in Oman to offer freehold status to all purchasers both nationals and expatriates,” the Indian Ambassador told the press. “Oman is home to more than 500,000 Indians and having their own home at The Wave, Muscat is like having a home at their dream destination.” “This is a significant milestone for the project. We are now handing over the keys of several properties each week to our customers,' added Nick Smith, CEO, The Wave, Muscat. “Over 800 properties in the sectors released to date have been sold and sales so far have exceeded $500m [£310m]." The Wave, Muscat, is being developed through a joint venture comprising Oman’s government-owned Waterfront Investments, National Investment Funds Company, and the UAE-based Majid Al Futtaim Group.
