The £1.75bn Durrat Marina will spread over a cluster of 15 artificial islands in Bahrain.

Reclamation work at the £1.75bn Durrat Marina, a 21-square kilometre master development spreading over a cluster of 15 artificial islands in Bahrain, which will be similar to to that of the Palm Islands in Dubai, has now been completed.

The development, which will cater for some 4,000 households, will feature a selection of waterfront villas, town houses, apartments, offering views of the open sea and the adjacent golf course. Additional commercial and recreational facilities will be designed to accommodate over 300 boats and yachts.

The project, a partnership between the government of Bahrain and Kuwait Finance House, will be the largest project of its kind to date in Bahrain. It will be located close to the Bahrain International Circuit, Riffa Golf Course, Al Areen Desert Spa & Resort, and the proposed Bahrain-Qatar Friendship causeway.
