Since throwing open its doors to foreign property buyers in 2004, the market for Slovenia property has been a busy one. And, if the recent glowing press coverage is anything to go by, there's still have plenty of opportunity to bag a cheap property in Slovenia .
In order to purchase a Slovenia property, buyers must have an EMSO number (a type of identification number). Once you have found the appropriate property in Slovenia and had an offer of acceptance, a deposit of 10 per cent is payable.
All documents and contracts will need to be translated into English and should be examined by a lawyer. Buyers of Slovenia properties are advised to seek legal representation. If you are unable to be present to sign contracts, a notarised power of attorney can be present on your behalf.
